Comprehensive Home Modification Evaluation
A licensed Occupational Therapist will perform an evaluation of your physical abilities and how well you get along in your living environment. We will then design a customized plan to enhance your safety. Our program aims to reduce your risks of falls and make it easier for your caregiver to take care of you. The service may extend beyond the initial assessment and include additional visits for training and education by the therapist to ensure that you and/or caregivers know how to operate equipment safely.

SERVICE
Fall Safety Evaluation
Kavana Consultants are qualified to assist older adults age in place, as older adults are at a higher risk. The fall assessment services we provide give us the ability to identify risk factors based on your current physical condition and your current home environment. Our objective is to reduce the risk of falls or near falls. Our Occupational Therapist will provide you with recommendations and an individualized plan to increase safety within your home.

SERVICE
Low Vision Home Modification Evaluation
Upon recommendation from your ophthalmologist, optometrist or primary physician, one of our licensed Occupational Therapist will evaluate how limitations of your vision affect how you manage your daily life. We will design methods to make your home environment safer and allow you to function more independently. Recommendations are made to make life tasks easier, reducing risks for falls or assisting both the you and/or your caregiver safety perform tasks at your highest functional level. Additional visits may be required after the evaluation for further training.
These services are designed to assist with clients diagnosed with Low Vision due to the following:
- Glaucoma
- Macula Degeneration
- Diabetic Retinopathy
- Cataracts
- Blindness
- Other diseases that affect vision

Occupational Therapy Consultation Services
We provide comprehensive consultation services to give you the tools and resources needed to live a full life. Our services are designed to identify the best options and ensure individuals live at the highest level of independence, safety and quality of life. Our services are provided across the age continuum.
- Accommodation consultant services within the educational setting starting at the secondary school level and transitioning to college level/ post secondary services.
- Assistance with guardianship, life care, estate and end of life planning recommendations.
