Cheryl Haynes

Ms. Cheryl Haynes is a practicing occupational therapist with over 25 years of experience. She is the Principal Consultant and owner of Kavana Consultants in Tallahassee, Florida, an independent practice providing occupational therapy services, specializing in home assessments and modifications.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Florida A & M University and is certified from the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA, 2008) as an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP). She is presently on the advisory boards of the local AARP and Florida A &M University, School of Allied Health Sciences, Occupational Therapy. Ms. Haynes has worked in a variety of practice areas to include geriatrics, pediatrics, education, and administration, general rehabilitation, blind and visually impaired, adults with intellectual disabilities, and assistive technology. Ms. Haynes is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), World Federation of Occupational Therapy (WFOT), Florida Occupational Therapy Association (FOTA), and Home Modification Occupational Therapy Association (HMOTA). Although Ms. Haynes has worked in a variety of practice areas, her work as an occupational therapist for the Maryland School for the Blind in Baltimore, Maryland inspired her present work.
